Joseph C. Meade, is the Chief of Staff to LaSalle University President Dr. Colleen Hanycz and Executive Director of Government and Community Affairs. He is a registered lobbyist at the state and local government levels, responsible for advancing opportunities and implementing activities that support public funding goals for the University’s operations and capital expenses. Before joining the La Salle University, Mr. Meade served as the Deputy Secretary of Community Affairs and Development for Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development, and had the opportunity to work at the world class Philadelphia Museum of Art as its Director of Government and External Affairs.

Additionally, Joe has served as the Director of Government and Public Relations for the School District of Philadelphia, and worked as legislative director for the Honorable City Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown.

A graduate of La Salle College High School (1997) and West Chester University (2001), received his Master of Public Policy and Administration from Widener University (2007). He has served on the Board of Directors for the Philadelphia Sports Congress, The Philadelphia Cultural Fund, and Mural Arts Program and is the Chair of the Philly Triple Threat youth AAU program. Joe holds additional affiliations as a board member of the Urban Affairs Coalition, Germantown Special Services District, La Salle College High School-Leadership Council and the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance.
