Darren Lipscomb, Ed.D. is the Director of Outreach, Recruitment, & Enrollment Services at Delaware County Community College. His duties include management of the Admissions Office, Directing all activities designed to attract and enroll students in credit programs, Supervision of the Assistant Directors of
Admissions & Enrollment Services, Management of on-campus recruitment events, Collaboration with the Public Relations, Advisement of prospective students and
applicants throughout the enrollment process, Collaboration with the Director of Dual Enrollment and High School Initiatives, Directing and overseeing the recruitment of
veterans and ensuring quality service.
Lipscomb is the only African American director of an admissions office at a community college in Pennsylvania, the first African American Director of the Admissions Office at Delaware County Community College, and one of less than a handful of African Americans currently serving as director of an admissions office at any of the more than 150 colleges and universities in Pennsylvania.
He is currently a Juris Doctor Candidate, Class of 2022 at the Temple University Beasley School of Law, Keeper of Records of the Philadelphia Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and Chairman, Mayor of Philadelphia's Commission on African American Males.
