I did not pre-register. Can I register when I arrive in Philadelphia?
Yes, however, you will need your current financial card or life membership card. You will need to go to the “On-Site” registration booth, where housing assessment will also be checked. Absolutely, no personal checks are accepted for on-site registration. Only cash, credit cards, or money orders will be accepted.
I arrive on a date other than my confirmed reservation date without informing the hotel in advance, will I have a problem?
Yes, most likely but you must deal directly with the hotel regarding your reservation and lodging questions.
I am not a registered attendee, may I attend any of the Grand Chapter meetings or sessions?
No, you must be a registered attendee to be admitted to any business sessions or closed activities. You may attend Public Meeting, Awards Program, Pageant, etc. which are open to the general public and to members who are not registered.
My chapter failed to return our list of voting delegates to the International Headquarters, will I still be able to represent the chapter?
No. The delegation of the chapter’s authority must be properly assigned by the chapter. Make certain that your chapter is properly registered in advance.
I lost my banquet ticket or one of the other event tickets that I received with my registration packet will I still be able to attend these functions?
No. Your registration badge and/or your events tickets are your admission to the various activities. They are not renewable or transferable. If they are lost or misplaced you can repurchase them by going to the designated Information Booth in the registration area. Replacement registration badges are $475.00 each.
I am a senior citizen and/or have a disability. Will I have to stand in line to receive my registration packet?
No. All senior citizens or people with disabilities will be able to get special registration assistance from staff at the Senior Registrant Desk. The Senior Kappa Registrant area is Sponsored by AARP.
